Worth the extra cost imo, I always use these for oil changes just makes it nice to not have to fiddle with filter wrenches or a strap wrench.

Arrived on time & intact, no damage. Wasn't sure if it would fit my 65 Ranchero 289 with the attached removal nut on filter end, but it did ! Great buy

Overall superb filter. However, wrench-off welded nut on the canister is ""cute"" BUT not really effective. For example, my air cooled Porsches a wrench will slip off and is not able to be used as a tool to loosen the filter. I use a strap wrench instead. And, yes - I tighten the filters my hand.

I use these filters on our Shelby GT500's every year. They do not get driven more than 500 miles a year but the filters work great.
