My family is height challenged and my new RAM 1500 was a little too high for them to get into easily. I did my research and the AMP PowerStep were recommended everywhere and for good reason.They arrived quickly and I installed them in about 3 hours with a little help.The way they work is really great. Simply plugging them in to the already present plug under the dash they lower and raise whenever a door is opened and only on the side of the door that was opened. After shutting the door in about 3 seconds the steps retract. I bought the LED lights as well and they look great.Pros:Easy to install - the mounting was easy. They look great and work well.Cons: Wire management is on you to figure out. They send some zip ties but keeping it neat and safe is really on the installer to complete.I would easily recommend this product (and have a couple times after people have seen them)

I wish I had these on every truck I've ever owned

I have installed these on the last three trucks I have had. They are awesome. I have found that the instructions are often out of date or slightly incorrect. Be sure to go to the AMP web page for the most current install videos and instructions.

Love them but they wer backwards once installed had to switch the motor wires for them to go up when door is closed and down when door is open

Installation directions were good but had no troubleshooting techniques. Harness came pinned backwards which took an hr to figure out due to manual not having troubleshooting techniques.

Perfect for My truck.

These were easy to install and run the wiring. By myself I did it in about 3 hours talk my my sweet time to include wiring the override switch. They seem sturdy and function like they should. I will be giving up date one they go through a full winter
