Featuring an IP67 Waterproof and dustproof rating, Rough Country's PRO Winch Systems are built to ward off the elements, providing reliable recovery every time to get you back home safely.

Each unit features Series Wound motors which are extremely efficient at higher speeds and less prone to overheating compared to Permanent Magnet motors. Better still, Rough Country Recovery Systems utilize a 3-stage planetary gear train boasting a 265:1 gear ratio; allowing enormous torque in such a small housing.

All Rough Country PRO winch systems include a replaceable Clevis hook for convenience.

I've had this winch for about 2 years now on my 2011 Super Duty, and it has been pretty reliable. The free spool is pretty smooth, and it does the trick. I have the 12k one. My two big complains (which aren't that bad, just be being picky),1- The go go button port definitely needs a cover added. I have spent a lot of time using my torch or lighter to melt ice out of it. Nothing I can't fix… right?2- The eye lit bolt on the shaft is cheap and stripped out on mine. I never had less than three spools on it and that happened. I replaced the bolt with a bigger bolt…I also put a lot of use to this, so it has seen a lot of dicey adventures.

So I got stuck in some deepish water and it was submerged for good 30 min and still pulled my jeep xj out with easy. Remote has a good amount of length to if you need to winch from outside your rig. Will only run synthetic rope from now on

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

All returns must be accompanied by an original or copy of the receipt within 30 days. There are no refunds/credits after 30 days. Electrical items, tools, installed parts, and some special order items are non-refundable/non-returnable.
