I received this item as a gift due to the fact that EPA cap that comes with ANY gas can just sucks to use. Here I am reading some of the reviews from customers that bought a WATER spout being utilized on a gas can. It's not rotopax that is at fault. It's the ignorant consumer not reading into what they are buying. Petroleum products use a different type of rubber than what you would find on a water spout hose or any product needing to seal H2O. Here you are complaining that your gas can leaks all over your rooftop, vehicle, bike, etc�.. don't store your water spigot with a H2O rubber gasket inside a gas can . Common sense people. It's a great product if you use it correctly. And yes I also use it on my gas rotopax cans. I just swap out the gas spout rubber gasket with the non petroleum rubber gasket. No issues.
